I will take that bet, but on the side that the twin study will have limited value. I think we had previously discussed the issue of epigenetics and how this impacts gene expression.
Maybe one day we can return to actually studying protein function.
This will sound very arrogant, but I think the ability to do DNA sequencing in a very standardized "just send it to the core facility" fashion has encouraged many people without training to indulge themselves. In that respect, I'm not surprised that much of the DNA sequence based data remain confusing and unresolved.
