I was one of those people who thought that at the stroke of midnight on 1/1/2000 the world (as we knew it) was going to end!

I had enough bottled water stockpiled to feed a small nation and all the canned foods you could imagine.

After 9/11, I had devised this strategy with my son and my husband as to what we would have to do if we ever had to evacuate. Since I work closest to home, I was responsible for the dog. My son was to go to my father's place in New Hampshire, my husband was to pick up his Mom and go wherever, and I was headed South.........probably as far as Atlantic City! LOL

Once we got to our destinations we were supposed to call my son in California and let him know where we were.

They all rolled their eyes at me too.
