Alternative media has been reporting that the world is about to end ever since the word media has come into existence. While I don't believe it... perhaps this time is different, but if that is the case, last I heard is that gold won't be worth anything if food and shelter is scarce. Can't eat with it and can't build a house with it (or a very good one).

I do worry about the future, but just do what I can. If anybody is really that worried about global collapse, I would suggest to not worry about gold and more worry about stockpiling MREs and finding a bunker.

Am I invested in a few junior golds, but as for myself... I am not too worried and will continue down the road of general diversification that includes metals, pennies, blue chips, real estate and all the other stuff.
