I am totally at a loss why folks (mostly liberals) cannot understand the difference in how we must deal with N Korea as opposed to Saddam. It has to be an utter lack of common sense.

Assume you had two neighborhood punks - really bad guys, bullies who threatened everyone else and assaulted their neighbors. Worse, they show signs of being crazy and display zero concepts of right and wrong or respect for the law (which has been unwilling to do anything about them). They have both attacked some of your friends and you (being big and strong) have had to defend those friends in the past.

Now you find out one of them has armed himself with Uzzi machine guns and assault rifles and that the other one is trying to get some of the same. How would you handle it???? Would you treat both of them the same?? I don't think so, not if you had any common sense at all.

First you would take out the second one while he is still unarmed - you would NOT wait until he also had Uzzi's and AK-47's. Then you would very carefully deal with the one that had all the firepower.

It is not rocket science, it is just plain common sense.
