Doesnt sound like a money making scam to me. I think I would try to make millions off the scan and not a few pennys if I had the possibility of getting caught. Then you could buy an island and disappear. I wouldnt have picked a water heater concept for a scam. I would have created a pharma product that cures cancer or maybe a device that would be broader appeal.
