The difference is that if enough Microsoft shareholders got together they could indeed oust the Board of Directors, cut their pay or whatever they wanted to, if they called a special General Meeting according to the rules.
You could never do that with Wanderport because the "management" have given themselves more shares than everybody else put together - and they also control the printing press when they want to issue more to themselves and their cronies.
