re: Iowa's Got Talent, i meant Indiana's Got Talent.
i don't see any MIKP association with Iowa's Got Talent online, and no doubt Mark would have PR'd it if so.

re: WS, time will tell. as posted, i expect MIKP will sell it for $15m-25m, and am guessing the budget was $5m-15m. the private investors get 66% of the net, MIKP 33%.
unclear whether FilmWorks is one of the private investors, or sharing in MIKP's cut.

re: Skin Trade, i haven't read the book, but presumably anything associated with GRRM will get an extra look from distributors via association with GoT.

i've been crafting high-end web experiences for Fortune 500 companies since 1995 (dawn of the web), and my website is an ugly jalopy of links.
all my work has come word-of-mouth since 1997, so i haven't bothered to maintain or invest time in my site.

the key point is that i could have created the current SJF site in 1-2 days, pulling art from Tom Cat's site.

honestly, at this point, i'm expecting SJF will pan out as legit.
but i want that confirmation pronto.
