Any discussion is likely to get emotional. It's unfortunate. We're not taught how to discuss, but we see plenty of examples of how to argue and fight. Discussion is a skill to be learned.
There was no calculation, on my part, to get those stats. I lifted them from E*Trade analyst research, the Fundamentals tab on the PTQMF page. I'll attach a screen shot. The boxes are industry quintiles. Shading of the box indicates how the company compares to the industry average. A shaded box on the left means below industry average, a shaded box in the middle corresponds to similar to the industry average, and a shaded box to the right indicates higher than industry average.
