Re: Lovenox market share

Could Watson not really be selling? Or is it selling only in hospital setting? Ideas?

According to its contract with Amphastar, WPI sells only in the retail channel and not at all in the hospital setting. Your market-share figures of 74%, 14%, and 11%, respectively, for NVS, SNY/Winthrop (authorized generic), and SNY’s branded Lovenox sum to 99%, so (allowing for round-off error) WPI could have a market share of 0-2%. This would be consistent with WPI’s public acknowledgement on a recent investor webcast that they did not have much product on hand at the time of the launch.

I was told that [the Lovenox TRx numbers] will no longer be given out.

Told by whom? Was there a stated reason?

I was told that the latest numbers showed…
