The Atrinsic link looks like a forwarder that appends the affiliate number so that blucigs knows where the link came from.

When you say "If this client did not go through Atrinsic's affiliate software package, you would get an error message, like error 404 or some such."

Are you saying that if I went to this link: http://www.blucigs.com/store/?utm_source=aff&utm_medium=874696&utm_campaign=4998 without clicking on this link first: http://aan.atrinsic.com/z/874696/4998/&subid1=5869 I would get a 404 error?

I too have experience in this, possibly not as much as you, but we are all here to understand what Atrinsic is up to since we have an investment in it. So if you have to dumb it down for us, please do so without the attitude.
