By the way, Elmer has already stated that he would support sharing the tax burden between the shareholder and the corporation, so I don't know what's left to argue.



I'm sure his flexibility re: fiddling with the tax code to make it "more fair" is... conditional.

As in, "better be careful of what you wish for, 'cause it just might come true." Look back at the post that started this whole tax discussion to see what I mean.

Personally, I (along with a majority of the US) am ALL FOR changing the tax code to make it "more fair."

Let's say a new class of dividends was created with 2 simple changes: A) B-Dividends are paid from pre-tax dollars, and B) B-Dividend income is taxed as regular income.

I bet Elmer picks regular, "double-taxed" dividends over B-Dividends every time.
