I think I need a hard drive password but it's worked fine for 2 years without one until now.

Why all of a sudden do I need to enter a password? I have no idea what it would be.

Windows is password protected but this is different.

eMachines wants $99 minimum to send it in plus S&H.

Any ideas anybody?
