the $vix could go lower from here, but it will eventually bottom out ($12, perhaps?), and become a really solid hedge at that point.

i'm a firm believer in buying TVIX when traders think the market can do no wrong. if you wait until something spooks the bulls it will be 10 bucks higher, or maybe more.

based on friday's volume, it looks like a lot of capitulation.
