I have been crushed by a couple also in the past. Worst part is when they go DTCC ineligible the fees are outrageous. Reason is if you are not with a firm that is self-clearing you pay crazy fees because they now have to transfer paper certificates. Plus if you try to sell millions of shares they may use multiple MM's and there can be a fee for each one of them. Fees can range upwards to $50 to $100 for each amount of shares. I once was charged $270 for selling $150 worth of stock. Ridiculous. BCAP would change this and this could create tons of revenue. GET READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
