Further research shows there is also significant taxes disadvantages, and other negative things (if you happen to be in a state that allows stock to be issues below par value). As to your comment about the stock never going up, you stated it was your intention to short the stock (though in the past you stated you would had never owned the stock and would never own the stock), so I really think it is in your best interest to get the stock to first go up, then to start ragging on it again so you can short it, otherwise you will be just stuck. Just a recommendation based on your stated intentions.
