ITAR is not hard to get and doesn't take very long. It is nowhere compares to NIJ. With this, they increase their selling market 50x fold. The USA as a nice big pond, but the world is a much larger ocean for sales, orders and no red tape.
Getting this is very big, no test or certification, just stamp the app and it's certified.
I would "IMO" look for orders to be announced shortly after it getting stamped. This was needed for some of the big projects that have been talked about in the past.
