First, you got to be very careful with Josephus Flavius writings, some of the post Flavius Amorais considered him a traitor and distanced themselves from his writing (Particularly, his tome Jewish Antiquities? is the passage cited by Ergo from there?). As for the "post day of judgment", that is what I referred to as the "next world" or "Haolam a ba", yes that is an essentially old (pre talmud) concept, but it does not involve the fires of hell. Hades is, I believe of Greek origin (Hell is derived from it?).
