Good morning AF, and thanks. I too do not day trade as a rule. Only very rarely. And I short a stock usually even less. In my 25 years of stock experience, I take different approaches many times. My son is Yankemike and he says I trade too much. But as you get to be my age, which will be 65 in March, (I actually got my medicare card already LOL) when I am not entertaining at nursing homes, which I do almost daily, after playing in bands for almost 50 years, or not selling a home, which as a realtor now 15 years, I almost never do anymore with the housing market, I have to do SOMETHING, I tell my son, so I probably have traded a bit too much, always trying to "make something happen", as I am not a patient person, which is my main fault in stock trading and investing. That is a trait my son has that I wish I had more of? Very rarely do I go in heavy on 1 stock, as I will usually buy a "basket" of stocks to reduce risk, and increase my chances of picking a winner. Then I either sell all at once if I achieved my overall goal, or as I am doing now, I just start to unload taking smaller or larger gains, and not selling losers if I still like them? That is when I will sometimes add to my position, with the goal of getting out when I am even or have some gains. What I did with FNB was to put a limit "buy to cover" order in based on the daily chart, and both times it filled and then went back up. So I guess similar to the MMs seeking out a "stop" order, they may also seek out any "buy to cover" orders? Anyway, sorry for this long post. My kids say I always leave long messages on their voice machine. LOL Have a great day. Ray
