Frankly, I don't understand why Iceweb is not selling more gear. The failed Promark merger was a giant step in the wrong direction. Maybe people just don't feel comfortable with new technology that doesn't have a recognized brand name on it.
More sales of the storage boxes would certainly be very very nice, but that might never happen without the brand name and a higher price on the product. Lobster was considered crap food and fed to Maine prison inmates until some genius decided to start charging $27 for the damn things.
Sig suggested the company is moving in the direction of selling the technology instead of just selling boxes. It's not necessary to wait for the patents. The Toole man could make a deal with EMC, Oracle, or HP. The Iceweb 6500 labels get scraped off. The HP 4242 labels get slapped on. The price goes from $45,000 to $90,000. Everybody is happy.
