Bush may be running out of options. I perceive Bush to have three major avenues toward world domination – military, velvet revolutions or bogus democracies and clandestinely backing one faction against another. Since the Iraq debacle a military takeover is not a priority, the velvet revolutions and pseudo democracies are beginning to backfire that leaves using one group against another as a viable choice. Standing back as far as I can this I believe to be a basic view of the US hegemony problem and Bush has lost two out of three alternatives.

Countries of lesser gods require the protection of a mega power. Bush’s tyrannical rule is literally pushing many nations into the Russia/China camp which is perceived to be the more benevolent preference. Many countries are waiting for the moment when China somehow signals that they are equal to the US in arms. At this point you will see skid marks.

I think the coming election in Azerbaijan will be interesting. Bush may have no recourse but to put a base in Azerbaijan if Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan succeed in throwing us out.

Would Bush be so much the dictator if he had succeeded in life? I don’t think so. Here is a man who for the most part failed in business, his military career is better forgotten, he is an addict switching alcohol for religion and in fact the only thing he got right is that he was born with a silver spoon up his rear. I do not see a successful man blustering, swaggering and throwing his weight around to the extent that almost this entire part of our spiral arm of the Milky Way has been alienated to the detriment of this country. A man that has done well, who is not a failure, many times better understands the nuances of dealing with his fellow humans.

Good PR is emerging as the preeminent weapon in this Grand Game and China and Russia are playing it for what its worth.

Oh and btw - there is no Mafia.
