La Nina loses her cool in 10th hottest year yet

THIS year is on track to be the 10th warmest on record and the hottest in which a La Nina event has suppressed global temperatures, the World Meteorological Organisation says.
A preliminary snapshot of 2011 temperatures released at the Durban climate change conference says it continues a global warming trend during which the 13 hottest years have occurred in the past 15 years.
