nuts... That was a hoot, looking back at names in my portfolio in 2004. The big names are the same. Concentrations then and now in TGA, MDF, EGY. I have more energy now, with lots of small positions in the Canadian juniors. My lack of performance this year is partly because I still have a lot tied up in TGA and MDF and neither has been spectacular in 2005, especially MDF. Also my investments in Canadian juniors haven't paid off yet. Most are about even as they are new.

I still have high hopes for 2005 but due to my concentration, energy will have to perform well and some of my underperformers will have to wake up(EGY,THK,ATVEE.ob) or go away. I have been fully invested and so have not been able to participate in some of the earnings stocks that some have jumped on and off of. I'm a simple guy and so have been pounding away at energy to the possible detriment of the rest of my stocks. Maybe if vphm and whai.ob continue climbing, I will change my ways!!! Thanks for giving me a reason to look back and ponder. I love to ponder! It's one of the things I do best. Action is another issue!

Pondering......thinking.......pondering some more.......hemming.....hawing........deciding to reconsider.....LOL....

Have actually been focusing and cleaning things up lately. Reviewing and trying to get rid of mistakes and focus on better opportunities. I've bought my share of flyers this year and most didn't work out. Have to control that urge.

The bigger size of my portfolio may have led me to think that I can afford mistakes but they are still losses, no matter what the symbol.

Weekends are a good time to "ponder" and tweak the direction I'm headed. Thanks Bobwins
