yes they are in the same class

in other words they do not trump each other. They are superior to other stocks i.e. commons. so in essence preferred are all in the same class except H's which are trust preferred... but they have their own problems....

But each preferred has their own quirks and P's quirk is the conversion clause which K's do not have.
