It was probably Ozzy's ego as much as anything. Of course, Jeff put him up against the wall when he challenged him.
The problem was, what in the world would make them think that Cochran would have been happy to be number 6 on the team? These people seem to forget that everyone else is not rooting for them to win. Ozzy thinks he is the stud quarterback and the others are all just blocking for him.
