I went with many many questions in anticipation they would get answered. As you know many dealt with the numbers and Robert was not sharing that information at this time. He did elaborate on a graph that was filed months ago.

I was disappointed in what they presented from a "vision" of what "I" thought a pre-production unit should be. There was a discussion if you can call it that of what my definition was and what Andrews was.
Technically you can call a lego mockup of a water heater pre-production. No need to get into technicalities at this point. They have what they have. It was just completed a day or so ago(and looked like it) so Robert had "something" to show us. The effort was there, the quality(IMO) was not so good but it did the job for us to visualize what they have.

They focussed on the "engine". So to keep it in there terms. The engine was mounted in a beater car from the scrap yard. For this presentation it really didn't matter but again it was not what I would call "pre-production".

Now when the hood was opened for us to see the revolutionary "engine", it looked like parts put together from local hardware store. Again, not what I would call pre-production by any means but for this presentation, it really didn't matter.

Roberts presentation was but together quickly for the attendees to get a better understanding of where he started, where they were, and where they want to go.

I was expecting a model(keeping in there terms) of a unit displayed at the Detroit Car Show.

All that being said, it appears the next step is to take this bench top prototype in for an overall. Get rid of the local hardware items and change them out with sleek manufactured parts built just for this unit. Maybe rearrange some components to make things more friendly and cost effective to build and assemble.

What WDRP says when they say looking for manufacturer is a company with the background, engineering, manufacturing, and assembly capabilities to do this. Sounds like it would also be nice if they financed some of that or all of that for a first round run of say 250-300 units or so.

Is the unit we saw ready for WDRP to take to a company and present there pitch? Not in my opinion. I believe first impression for these companies is important. WDRP may think differently.

Robert also said the unit needs to go back to Design 1st to get the plumbing changed so he can do testing. Hopefully its final testing. He was pressured for time frame but would not commit. Based on past experience, your guesses are as good as mine for how long all this will take. I offered the suggestion he take a 4 week vacation from posilight and just get the darn unit finished. He said that wasn't going to happen.

All in all, big disappointment in what I saw and how far along I perceived they were with the unit based on the PR's. Can't even imagine what it would have looked like 2 weeks ago if it was going to be presented at the Chicago show. Believe me when I say, we are real glad it wasn't there in it's present condition - just my opinion.

So, where are they at? Again, it needs alot of TLC IMO with more testing to be completed by Robert. Then sounded like a presentation to a manufacturing firm to aid and assist in the final mockup of beta units.

Maybe having Design 1st do the "pretty marketing" stuff isn't the best. They seem to be more of the "engineering" and it showed in what was presented. It needs help and they(Andrew Robert) seem to agree with that. I thought that was all done, it was not.

What is my gut feeling? They will eventually get something to market. NO data was given for us to brag about yet. That is coming we are told.

More to come.
