Why wait for the "unveiling" in VT, which just delays everything. The unit should have been totally operational as of Oct. 10-13. Why not send a single unit each to Gavin, Dave & UL to develope some test data on operating performance and at the same time UL can give it's Safety Blessing. Certainly there is not just a single model? Why risk just having one operating unit at this point. It is too valuable and can be lost, stolen, damaged etc. To display an operating unit at the Hampton Inn: All that would be required would be:
2 cheap garden hoses (inlet & outlet)
a handful of fittings (to connect garden hoses to unit)
2 Temp Indicators (Inlet & Outlet)
1 small flow meter (measures flow through unit on inlet side)
1 extention cord (power supply)
1 good clamp-on amp meter (multimeter)
electrical & teflon tape
Put the unit in the parking lot on a table and let her run. Take some data and do calculations. Not a difficult undertaking. Then why not do it?
btw, I never got a reply/invitation from WDRP of my emailed confirmation sent Tuesday morning. Doesn't really matter at this stage, but not very professional.
