I've never looked that deeply into TA, but I agree that for specific stocks over specific time intervals it may have some utility. In tekcor's defense (if he needs any), his basic sideways-triangle converging or diverging patterns are probably food for a little short-term thought, but the rest is event-driven as his Boxes 'o Qualifying Text indicate. For me, the bottom line for anything trendish beyond a few hours' worth of trading is best handicapped using the kind of game-theory odds-making Dew generally seems to favor. Which (are you listening, he-who-must-be-ignored?) IDs more what odds-changing factors should be under the spotlight rather than serving as anything too specific in the way of outcome and timing.
