Just got July/Aug SkyNews. Good article on Deep Impact.

Scientists expect that upon impact the brightness could increase from magnitude 9.7 to magnitude 6 meaning the comet might even be bright enough to be binocular visible.

The best viewing location in Canada is....just about right here!

Observers east of Manitoba miss out on the fireworks as the comet has set before impact....impact PDT between 10:49pm and 11:30pm on July 3rd and I'll be at the Cowichan Valley Starfinders star party that night.

If weather is good we should have upwards of 60 scopes there.

I'll have a new CPC8 gps there.
