This embassy is like no other ever built; I suggest there is a reason it was so big, so expensive, that only American's with top clearance worked on it, and it's location. As I said many years ago right here on this thread; I suspect it is our way of keeping an eye on Iran and keeping our feet next to the biggest potential problem in the area. Who has been the biggest threat in area and for how long?
We have known for a long time about the threat of Egypt, Libya, Syria... as well as we know very well the threat of The Muslim Brotherhood; the whole Muslim problem is not new to us, they have been at war with non-Muslims for ages.
"It was an erroneous excuse..." You don't know this, very few people know the truth. It's like a presidential candidate running for office, they say this and that, promise this and that; and when they win the election in the first two months they are very busy learning the ugly truths in the world; this is why most beak their promises, they were speaking of matters they actually knew very little of.
I said it before and have for years. I predict GW Bush will be remembered much like Reagan. We will not know how great a job he did as a president in many areas for twenty to thirty years. We agree on much, but on this we disagree. JMO
