One, there wasn't one insurgent in Iraq till we went in. Saddam, his regime, along with his sons went into hiding having lost control, and their power. Only then did the insurgent problem become an issue..............Its obvious that the last admin did not want Bin Laden, nor even care of his whereabouts, or he and his band could have been taken down in short term. If Pakistan chose to harbor any or all of them was cause to pursue them over their border. This kind of attack was cause for a war, ever how small and quick in taking them down. It was an erroneous excuse to tap into our governments till, no less than those who operated on Wall Street, then sought bailout money............At a time when our soldiers were engaged in 2 wars. Remember parents buying bullet proof vest for their own serving there because the government was underfunding the military, and lacked the equipment. It gets no more despicable.
