They obviously believe in the technology and product that ECDC contains. Perhaps twitter wants a piece of it's location technology?! Maybe it will be embedded into the next iphone OS?! Look how twitter was just embedded into the new iOS. Possibilities/speculation is endless in terms of mobile use.
