The dotcom era was built on greed and hype. It wasn't, though, intentional fraud as much as overexuberhance in the marketplace. The internet is real! Buying stocks in mining companies that don't mine and glove companies that don't make gloves isn't about investing or profit making or anything other than you're going to get screwed eventually, so try and screw your neighbor on the right before the neighbor on the left gets to you.
