Ha, when I said a perfect storm was brewing, I didn't expect it to blow the roof off the market. I hope everyone's weathering the storm OK. The markets are in utter chaos.
Gold's recovering nicely after falling over $100 to less than $1550/oz overnight. I figure the hedge's are covering by selling off commodities, but it's only a matter of time before the uncertainty drives panic buying of gold, imo.
If we pull our anticipated 24K ozs for Q2 and get $1500/oz, we should be looking at a qEPS of [(24,000 x $900/oz) / 221M shares] almost $0.10/sh, even with the dilution. That would be a new record. I feel bad for those miners not making profits with the credit market the way that it is. Maybe we can cut some deals while cash is plenty for us but short for others.
