I work for a company that builds CAT writers. During the process of R&D, the getting the right parts from china and taiwan has not been smooth. We had to send the parts back and forth with design mods a few times and we met with the suppliers twice. This process is fairly normal. Voltage, size, shape and many more factors come into play when building machines that have certain requirements. When factors are not resolved, then the principal needs to take care of the problem. i.e. Robert!
