yes he was....he was great
Him & Gene Tracy & John Foxx

but Jerry did clean comedy with stories that made your eyes weep with laughter and that made him special

my 3 favorites are knock 'em down John and when they took Grandpa coon huntin' and last but not least how the one couple stayed married for 50 years with success
