You make good points and to a degree I concur. However, Paul has had held this hands off position when it comes foreign relations and a small military for many years. Now don't get me wrong, I believe in the concept Jefferson had back when he said:

“Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations...entangling alliances with none” ~ Thomas Jefferson

And I agree with Paul, we have too many military bases and interfere too much with others. However, threats cannot be denied and Israel and England and more recently Japan have long served as greatly needed and appreciated allies. There are many so-called allies that need to be kicked to the curb, false allies like Saudi Arabia and the U.N. ...

Where I differ from Mr. Paul is that I believe we must remain the most powerful and technologically advanced military might in the world to deter attacks, and if needed to stomp a huge hole in whoever, and then quickly return back home. I think we have to some allies for many reasons, and the three I mention above have great purpose for both the US and them. Many others we need to remove from an A- list and put back on the Threat list, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China...

Back to my main point, and I reiterate here; what I disagree with on Paul I strongly disagree with and therefore I cannot vote for him. That's why I stated earlier here on this board that he might serves US well as a VP. I have expressed this view many times here; I think a good ticket would Cain-Paul, maybe even Gingrich-Paul. Right now these are onlythe two possible teams out the current republican choices that I think could help us. Sadly, I doubt they would ever team up, I doubt Paul would accept VP, and I doubt they could get elected if they did.

I differ from most, as bad as Obama is; I still think he's going to get another four years. Remember, everybody said both Clinton and Bush would never be re-elected and both were. I do not and will not count Obama as out until he is. I pray that will be, but until he is gone, until I see a real strong Conservative or other candidate that can truly beat Obama, I think we are in serious peril of another fours-years of an Anti-American president. frown
