No that isn't me posting on the thread it's a different no dummy but they seem to be talking about your guy:

no dummy replies to John Smith

This person is still out there and now sending emails under the name of Patrick Jean with vacationhomeforrent@yahoo.com, getting smarter with responses trying to rent a 3 bedroom beach property for $200 per night and with a money back guarantee - so please beware - definitely a scam. Wants you to send the money via Western Union to:

Name : Mitchell Braverman
Address : 119 east 32nd street
Brooklyn New York 11234

There is a real Mitchell Braverman in the Bronx, but unless these scammers are idiots they are using somebody else's identification to pick up the money being send via western union.

Mitchell F Braverman
5648 Avenue T
Brooklyn, NY 11234-4705
Age: 40-44
Associated: Melissa J Braverman

According to the white pages 119 E 32nd Street belongs to:

Ignatius Laurent
Arnob E Mars
Sharon T Potts

Kings County property records search shows:

Parcel (BBL): 3-4903-60
Owner(s): VALMYR, EVELYNE
Property Address: 119 EAST 32 STREET

1605 E 32nd Street is a fake address. Doesn't exist.

Since money crossed state lines you might be best trying to contact the FBI and the FTC and the ICCC.

Since this scam looks like it has been going on for at least 18 months rotating locations, fake names, and fake addresses I wouldn't get my hopes up about your daughter getting her money back.

People should never send cash via Western Union at the instructions of anybody they have only met online. It is pretty much guaranteed to be a scam.
