Jeff, the 5ma is just too fast a line for me to give it any significance when it's crossing line as slow as the 50ma. i tend to follow the small lines in a grouping of 5/10/20, and the slow lines as 50/100/200.

to me, the early golden cross is when the 20 moves through the 50.

as for a short term entry, i look for the 5 crossing through the 20.

and... i follow them in reverse, too, as sell signals.
