hock: I'll put it another way. Anyone who buys near term options with the hope of making a big killing deserves whatever happens, good or bad.

This is what our markets are now. Spin, manipulation, prevarication, innuendo, etc. Anyone who buys and holds through all of this BS deserves every penny they have earned.
