My AIM-friendly site is almost operational (finally!).. A few people here will remember me as being a "mathematical modeling" type of investor who really appreciates AIM. For the past several years I've not invested in anything but family expenses (teenagers, now entering/in college)..
But, for a long time I've had in mind adapting some of my programs such that they would provide lists of stocks that could be of interest to AIMers. Well, now the software is nearly operational.
The plan is to do daily updates based on the closing prices of several thousand stocks, then screen them to extract tables of the stocks whose patterns have certain characteristics. Once the programs are written, its just a matter of letting them run and sending the output files to the web site.
Right now, a simple list I'm thinking of is the top N stocks that are the farthest below their M-day moving average. For each stock, we'll display the percent the stock is above or below its moving averages, but I'll also have tables that list the stocks with the maximum values in these categories.
Are there other statistics of interest to people? For me it's just plugging in a formula at this point, since the software for generating the pages for each stock is now up and running, just awaiting a few tweaks and improvements before we take it live...
