Excellent post umaw, and I totally agree.
To compare with another bankruptcy I followed closely, CIT's, it just shows how utterly corrupt the BK system is. With CIT, the government told the justice system to "make it so" after it decided that CIT had to fail, and then the fastest BK in history occurred. TARP lost its $2.3B, but CIT writes off $1.6B in student loans shortly after it emerges from bankruptcy. Now isn't that funny, as the current administration was, at the time, taking a huge credit for cutting students a break.
So you see from my POV, the BK system was setup so only privileged parties could partake in it. If you are not in the club, all they want is your money. Hey, maybe Rosen is right, this is a carney circus! The irony...
