A bit dramatic eh, this was simply a formality, it's been long known he has been on leave and hardly in the day to day. This is a world class company and it takes more than Steve Jobs to see it through. He will be on the board and still part of the visionary. It's times like this when people claim "brace for the worst" when you can get in a bit lower. They did halt trading after hours.
