Were there any boards back in the Motorola days? If there were, the participation rate was much smaller because back in 95 there were far fewer internet connections then there are today.

As far as the overall feeling, it appeared that IDCC was going to win against Motorola and it was a miscarriage of justice. Back then our fate was decided by a bunch of lay people AND it wasn't just interpreting a contract by 3 lawyers/judges. Today's situation is completely different although the outcome is just as important to the future success of the company.

Your post:
To long time investors (Motorola time):

It seems as though many here (but not all) are pretty confident that we will have a positive outcome in the NOK mess when it is all said and done.

I wasn't in the stock back during the Motorola mess and was wondering what the atmosphere was like on the boards leading up to the decision in Motorola. Were folks confident and completely caught off guard with the Motorola decison or did most know we had problems before the decision was announced?

I feel more comfortable (gut feeling)with the investment this week than I have in the last several months but I am not quite sure why that is.

Thanks,
ssalner
