You ever get around Omak Washington? If so Conconully Lake which is actually the upper lake and lower resevior the town of Conconully splits up the lakes. There is a park you can camp in or three resorts there with reasonable prices. Last time we spent the night in Omak about 19 miles away. About 25.00 cheaper then being at the lake so two nights saved $50.00.

If you ever decide to go let me know and if you promise to keep it a secret I'll give you two landmarks where you drop anchor between them. You will limit in an hour.

In 90 degree weather the water is mountain fed ICE COLD so the fish not only taste great they fight hard.

35 years ago we went there on last day of fishing season.
Try to get there every couple years.
When we arrived around 4 in the morning it was snowing hard.
By the afternoon it was 80.

I think the resort owner felt sorry for us and told us where to go catch the fish.

I thought it was strange she'd give up the secret spot cause as a resort owner you don't want your lake fished to the point people traveling 6 hours just to catch one fish.

All there was there were hunters in their tents and RV's.

The lake to ourselves and had memories I'll never forget.
We went out there and caught more fish then I can remember.

If you decide to go I'll give you some more secrets like how to camp at waters edge for free. Some trips on roads up into the mountains around Conconully that the views will blow you away.

Gets a bit scary at times on those roads but worth it.
