to respond to your question to me about the JPMorgan tweet I posted yesterday

the key line is "The deal does nothing to extend the various stimulus measure which will expire next year"

In other words - if Obama had not been rolled by the Republicans the outcome Should have been -- some more stimulus this year and in 2012 for serious deficit reduction starting when the economy got better.

therefore contracting government spending equals lower GDP.
