First, I would have to believe that the ICC is completely incompetent. I would then understand why Nokia wanted arbitration using the ICC's structure. Now, assuming incompetence and assuming Nokia's ability to manipulate the ICC, I would then expect no award favoring Interdigital. I would then realize that the whole system is rigged against me and it's set up to take my money. But because I believe that one day I'll actually win, I keep shoveling my money into the stock, options, and whatever other avenue will be willing to take advantage of me. Then, when I'm completely broke and living in a trailer down by the river, I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that it wasn't me, it was THEM.
Back to reality: I don't believe that there will be any delay, but I do believe that the ICC is competent and would dutifully notify the parties in such an extreme case as you suggest. Just because we didn't get the award on the 31st of May doesn't mean that it isn't completed and getting all appropriate arbitors to sign off on it as we speak.
