Usually not, you're right. However, had there really been two separate and independent analyst price targets over $118 issued for IDCC today... that would have had an impact, IMHO.
As we know now, there was only MPartners upgrading their target.
Both these firms aren't anywhere near a major brokerage name. If they were, the stock would have reacted. These small boutique names/blogs usually will not have an impact on a stock price.
