Quantifying the Chinese demand for lumber: Rick Holley, PCL’s CEO, said on today’s CC that exports to China will account for 11% of the entire US lumber market in 2011. For PCL’s own acreage in the Pacific Northwest, China is accounting for 27% (!) of sawlog output.
