I don't know if Mark Leonard comes from a farming background, something tells me he does. Why else start two tractor companies?

Have you ever been around a bunch of farmers? What farmers lack in communication skills or even the desire to communicate, they make up in spades for making sure the job get's done. They have to, because nobody else is going to come and do it for them. A slick pr isn't going to get the fields planted or the harvest in the barn or bin.

I'm not so sure what you would describe as secrecy isn't just a farmer's focus on making sure the job gets done. The results will speak for themselves.

Mind you, I'm not saying that is an ideal way to run a public company. I'm just not all that concerned over what you see as secrecy.
