It is definitely confusing.

As for not selling....well, I'm a wimp. Once I heard that there could be a problem if I sold, I decided against it.

I was ready for the "Wow, I have enough money to pay off the mortgage" scenario had things gone the way I hoped but I wasn't ready for the "Oh shit, we need to take out a second mortgage" scenario if it blew up in my face.
